    Bio: Becky lives in Jackson Alabama and works for the Clarke County Emergency Communications District located in Grove Hill Alabama. She started her career in public safety in 1997 when she mapped the county and named the roads to begin the Enhanced 911 project. Since that time, she has organized the move into a new location, overseen many equipment updates and projects, been a member of APCO, NENA, AAND, ACCA and continues to keep her APCO Instructor Certification.  In addition to her work with APCO, in 2011 she received her Basic Level Emergency Manager Certificate and in November 2017 she completed the NENA CMCP course, both of which she is extremely proud to have accomplished. Becky was elected as the Board of Directors Representative for the Gulf Coast Region at the 2016 Annual Conference in Orlando and was re-elected to this position at the 2018 annual APCO Conference in Las Vegas! Becky said, “I will continue every day to fight to ensure that Public Safety Emergency Communications and Communicators are recognized as professionals and to be reclassified as first responders!”

    Bio: I am the Dayshift Communications Supervisor at Florence Police. I have been there 22 years, supervising for 13 of those years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of North Alabama. My passion is in advocating and professionalizing Public Safety Communications and bringing more standards to the field as a whole. I am a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan and love to read. When not working or spending time with my family, I volunteer through Junior League of the Shoals currently serving as the Community Development Director.
